NPR: LeBron and Vogue; Bonds Blackballed?; C-Webb Retires

March 27, 2008

Barry Bonds is looking for a new baseball team, Chris Weber calls it quits, and critics say LeBron James looks like King Kong on the latest issue of Vogue magazine. It’s all fuel for our sports bloggers’ roundtable.

NPR’s Tony Cox talks with sports bloggers Chad Brown of Alpha Blog Sports, Jemele Hill of ESPN.com, and D-Wil of Sports On My Mind.

I just think this photo isn’t that good.

I am a Cavaliers fan and I live in the Akron area (LeBron’s hometown) so I may be biased. I think they are trying to juxtapose LeBron’s power and strength vs. Gisele’s beauty. LeBron’s not a beast…well, off the court anyway.

From a b-ball fan standpoint, don’t let the door hit you Webber…see, now you have no timeouts left (I am from Ohio…we aren’t feeling Michigan alums this way).

But, as a man, respect is due. Nothing but the best, C-Webb.

I won’t even get into how dirty they are doing Barry Bonds…

Got something to say?
